BenQ Announces Sponsorship of Team Dynamic,a Professional Gaming Institution

Kicking off the 2012 Major League Gaming (MLG) Pro Circuit Spring Championship being held in Anaheim, Calif. from June 8-10, BenQ today proudly announced the sponsorship of Team Dynamic, a top North American professional Counter-Strike: Source (CS:S), League of Legends, and StarCraft® II gaming team. Under the sponsorship, BenQ will provide financial support to Team Dynamic, as well as supply each CS:S team member with an XL2420T LED gaming monitor and League of Legends players with a RL2450HT real-time strategy (RTS) gaming monitor. Both units have been specifically designed to help the pros “ConQuer the Game.”

Long-time Dynamic member and team leader, Philippe-Olivier “PEX” Crépin commented: “It is an honor for Team Dynamic to represent the leading PC monitor brand for gamers. I have been using the XL2420T since it first launched and its feature set offers tremendous advantages for improving your gameplay. Among the capabilities I really like are its Black eQualizer for greater visibility in dark areas, high contrast ratio that doesn’t strain the eyes, Smart Scaling to switch between screen sizes manually, and smooth 120-Hz refresh rate and fast response time, which greatly reduce the potential for error.”

BenQ has been actively involved in the gaming community and believes in the continuous exchange of ideas and collaboration with legendary gamers towards optimizing its expanding line of professional gaming monitors. Successful launches of the XL2420T last year and the RL2450HT this year have drawn critical acclaim from gamers worldwide. Sophisticated features designed specifically for the serious gamer have made these units the official competition monitors for numerous top-level gaming events. In North America these include tournaments by MLG, E-Sports Entertainment (ESEA), Electronic Sports League (ESL), Texas e-Sports Association (TeSPA), and GIGABYTE™ eSports LAN (GESL), among others.

“At BenQ we’re dedicated to the gamer and our pro-inspired systems reflect that commitment,” said Lars Yoder, President at BenQ America Corp. “We’re excited to be supporting Team Dynamic and look forward to collaborating with them as we take gaming to higher levels of innovation and performance. Thus far we’ve been impressed with Team Dynamic’s ability to leverage our technology, such as being able to configure and share our monitor’s most compelling settings. We wish them the very best of luck as they engage in key tournaments year round.”

In addition to the MLG Pro Circuit Spring Championship, Team Dynamic is preparing for several June BenQ-sponsored competitions, including the GESL taking place from June 15-17 at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and the ESEA League Season 11 (S11) LAN Playoffs from June 29 to July 1 in Dallas. With a combined $135,000 on the line, some of the best teams from around the world will assemble to claim their portion of the prize pool.
